Dr. Ahmed received his undergraduate degree from the Washington University in St. Louis in 2008 where he was awarded the Health Professions Scholarship for medical school from the U.S. Army. He received his medical degree University of Wisconsin in 2012. In 2018, he completed his residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center, in San Antonio, TX. He is currently completing his military obligation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD.
Dr. Ahmed is Board Certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He has co-authored several articles in the peer reviewed medical literature. He is very active with American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery serving on several committees.
Dr. Ahmed served over 10 years Active duty in the U.S. Army that have shaped his clinical and research interests. He currently studies the effects of radiation on swallowing and hearing. He also studies facial nerve regeneration.
Dr. Ahmed enjoys spending time with his wife Hanna and his son William. He enjoys exploring the many miles of hiking trails and enjoying the wide diversity of restaurants in the local area. Dr. Ahmed evaluates and treats a wide array of disorders of the ears, nose, and throat. His surgical interests are endoscopic middle ear surgery, cochlear implantation, stapes surgery as well endoscopic sinus surgery and rhinoplasty.
